What is the ideal size for a bathroom mirror?

The size of the bathroom mirror depends on the size of the bathroom. In principle, the bathroom mirror that best suits your individual preferences can be hung above the washbasin. Nevertheless, care should be taken not to choose a bathroom mirror that is too small. It should also be as wide as possible compared to the washbasin. The upper mounting edge is approx. two meters. Depending on your height, a mirror height of 80 to 90 cm is ideal. Ideally, the bathroom mirror should hang at a height of 1.10 to 1.20 meters. If you are taller than two meters or shorter than average, the bathroom mirror should be positioned higher or lower.

A high-quality LED mirror illuminates the reflection both glare-free and evenly. The LEDs of the HEWI bathroom mirrors are located behind a satinized mirror edge so that the mirror image is evenly illuminated. Nevertheless, the mirror does not dazzle. The LED mirror reproduces colors without distortion. The LED light is warm white, creating a pleasant ambience in the bathroom. 

An illuminated mirror offers the advantage that the mirror image is optimally reflected. This is particularly relevant in rooms without daylight. Illuminated mirrors are available from HEWI in both round and square shapes.

Cosmetic mirror with magnification

Cosmetic mirrors show every detail of the face thanks to their magnification function. Ideal for applying make-up or grooming. HEWI cosmetic mirrors are available in both round and square shapes. In addition, they each have a concave and a flat side. 

Optional HEWI cosmetic mirrors are also available with LED lighting. As a bathroom mirror with light, it makes even more details of the face visible. The double-jointed arm ensures that users can position the mirror exactly as they need it;

The tilting mirrors from HEWI meet the requirements for accessibility. Users can adjust the mirror flexibly with a handle. The mirror therefore allows individual adjustment of the angle of inclination - for all users of a bathroom;

An alternative is a full-length bathroom mirror that extends up to the top edge of the washbasin. These are suitable for both standing and seated users. The HEWI bathroom mirror range includes both wide and narrow models. This means that bathrooms with sloping ceilings can also be fitted.

Accessible mirrors: Convenience thanks to radio wall switch

The motorized tilting mirror extends the existing range of manual tilting mirrors. Equipped with an electric motor, the tilt function can be controlled up to a maximum of 28° via a freely positionable wireless wall switch. As with the manually operated adjustable mirrors, users can also choose between a non-illuminated and illuminated version. The separate wireless push-button is used to switch the lighting on and off and to continuously adjust the brightness and light color – from warm to cool white.

Users can easily and conveniently adjust the inclination of the motorized HEWI adjustable mirror Plus using the wireless wall switch. It is battery- and maintenance-free and, depending on its position, can be reached comfortably while standing or sitting.

The wireless push-button can be easily positioned on the wall in a frame supplied by HEWI – an adhesive pad is included in the delivery. It is also possible to integrate the wireless push-button into existing Gira System 55 frames.
